October Open House with Betsy McCarthy Book Signing Event
Our annual Open House event is scheduled for 10am - 5pm on Saturday, October 9th. Check out all the new inventory, sign up for a class, look at class examples and indulge in some refreshments. There is an all-day shopping discount, raffles and more like...
Betsy McCarthy is going to be on hand to sign the re-release of her best-selling book, Knit Socks! The new edition has 8 new patterns, plus instructions on how to knit socks on one long circular needle, two circular needles, as the traditional double pointed needles. There will be books on hand for you to purchase. The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 9th from 1pm - 3pm.
StitchCraft Soiree's
We have added another Soiree (open stitching) time at StitchCraft:
Thursdays, 6:00pm - 8:00pm
The Soiree is free of charge and we ask that our customers work on projects with items purchased from StitchCraft. If you are a new customer, we understand you may be finishing up a previous project. Support your Local Yarn Shop and your local economy.
Open Project Class
Each Thursday night from 6:30pm - 8:30pm is our open project class. Bring your knit or crochet project and we will help you through it. You can drop in and learn to knit or crochet. Each time you drop in you pay a fee of $15 or you can purchase the project class in a monthly block. Call 360/993-2200 for more details, or to sign up over the phone. The class size will be limited to 6 - 8 people, and if it gets larger another teacher will be added. One project at a time please. You receive 10% o of any supplies for your project.
Knitalong Campaign
Do you want to start a Knitalong? Or participate in one of StitchCraft's. Our ongoing Knitalong/Crochet along is preemie caps for Southwest Washington Medical Center and Legacy Hospital in Salmon Creek. Please ask the shop for for our preemie cap pattern. StitchCraft collects the caps and then takes them to the hospital. The last Thursday of each month is our charity knitting night. Bring your stash and let's make some baby hats.
We collect 8" knitted or crocheted squares for the Knit a Square Campaign.
Join our crochet and knitting for charity project to help make the abandoned children and AIDS orphans of southern Africa warm.
Your cocheting and knitting for charity will make a difference to some of the many millions of children who are AIDS orphans in Africa and who lack love, shelter, food, education and warmth.
Many wonderful children's charities are working hard to provide the first four, you can help provide the last.
Knit or crochet and send just one square (or more) and it will join thousands of other squares from around the world to be joined into blankets for these children,
many of whom are affected by HIV AIDS.
